These Fifty Years
As I Was Saying
In 2005 this was the first album to be released of John's words and music for thirty years, As I Was Saying is out now on Cherry Red Records.
Recorded March - May 2005 with John on piano/vocals, Andre Barreau on guitars/percussion and Phil King on bass, this album is
seen as picking up where John left off in 1975, as the title implies. And as well as featuring 10 new songs, John and
the boys also give us a new take on the popular 'Dear Glitterheart', originally on The Dangerous Hours.

Absolute Heaven
Creating Impressions - Singles and Rarities 1980-1990.
In the early 1980s John recorded several singles which have not been commercially available
for many years, some of them are included on this compilation, as well as material which
sees its commercial release for the first time here. Included are the Steve Levine
productions and John's last single release, 1984s 'Nothing More To Say But Goodbye',
a Radio 2 favourite at the time.

Same Bed, Different Dreams.
Recording began in 2004, completion was then delayed till early in 2006. Disques
Euro-visions released the album in France in May '06 and it was released internationally
by Cargo Records in early 2007.

My Beautiful Days.
My Beautiful Days was written after a recent conversation John had with his 1970s producer
Paul Phillips. Recorded specifically for E.P., it delivers a few home
truths. The E.P. also includes a new song Echoes Of A Better Time as well as the live
version of My Beautiful Days, recorded at Manchester's Briton's Protection in 2006.

Walk On The Wild Side
Walk On The Wild Side.
These three tracks were originally recorded in 1996 for the album The Pros and Cons of Passion.
This E.P. features John's version of the Lou Reed classic and also includes the theme song
from the Broadway musical Elegies For Angels, Punks and Raging Queens
as well as an instrumental version of Walk On The Wild Side.

The Bewlay Brothers
The Bewlay Brothers.
John has been performing the Bowie classic The Bewlay Brothers for some time, and many
people have asked him to record the song for release. In 2007 he finally did so, and
during the session John also recorded his versions of Leonard Cohen's Suzanne and
Kate McGarrigle's (Talk To Me Of) Mendocino.
